This year, we decided to trade our gardening gloves for go-go boots and tie-dye. Our theme was a nostalgic trip back to the 1960s, and the team went all out, with a win of first prize for the small walking group.
From peace signs and oversized sunglasses to vintage floral prints (naturally, we had to keep it on-brand!), the energy was high and the playlist was pure nostalgia. We had an absolute blast twisting and shouting our way along the carnival route, and the carnival vibe from the pavements kept our feet moving the entire way.
While we loved our brief stint as 1960s icons, it’s time to get our hands back in the soil. We have plenty of exciting summer planting and community projects lined up to keep Hayle looking vibrant, beautiful and blooming.
