Chairman Nigel's latest masterpiece
Chairman Nigel has been working hard on his latest masterpiece for our 2025 theme 'Peace' outside the Passmore Edwards institute. One side being the word peace itself and the other a dove which is a known bird used to represent the meaning of peace.
All from carefully chosen plants and precise planting skills.

Calling volunteers

With judging day for South West in Bloom looming nearer in early July, the time has come for a big push to get the town ready.
As a community group we work together to promote the town of Hayle to achieve the highest accolade, in past years we have been very successful in the competition.
So now we need as many hands as possible to help prepare the display areas and plant out the new plants around the town.
This coming Thursday 15th & Friday 16th May, we will be working on the Queen’s Jubilee garden beds and boats along with the towers on the old railway bridge to remove weeds and transplant any young plants to where they are needed.
Please bring your tools and come along and help us.
Don’t forget your sun tan lotion.
Refreshments will be provided to all volunteers.
Cinnamon Trust Community Spirit
Hayle in Bloom would like to thank The Cinnamon Trust for their amazing community spirit adding railing planters, teaming with eye catching beauty this year.

Hayle In Bloom receives a donation of 425 trees and hedging from the Woodland Trust.
Hayle in Bloom successfully applied for the Woodland Trust Tree Scheme and was graciously accepted, receiving a total of 425 trees and hedging plants for the Hayle area. So far, 50 of these trees have been planted in St. Felicitas Woodland as part of an ongoing restoration project. The remaining trees will be strategically planted in designated areas, collaborating with local schools and community members who wish to enhance wildlife habitats in their gardens.

Angela's blooming marvellous planters
Angela, a dedicated volunteer with Hayle in Bloom, has been tirelessly maintaining the Copperhouse planters throughout the year. She consistently adds new plants and ensures regular upkeep to keep them vibrant and flourishing. Last year the bloomers added 20 new planters at the doorsteps of local shops, where she continues to ensure they receive the care they need. Here we have Chairman Nigel and Treasurer Barry with Angela showing her great efforts .

Bloomers tackle misused area in Penpol Terrace
Over the past few weeks the Bloomers have been actively removing bamboo from Penpol Terrace. This initiative aims to prevent misuse of the area and to prepare a blank canvas for new plantings that will include a diverse range of pollinator-friendly plants. Stay tuned for updates and check out our gallery on the progress towards this exciting transformation!
